Version 2.1 (build 4)

July 12, 2021

  1. [New] Dashboard: Cleaner and faster
    • Summary of scanning information in one glance, so users are informed better about what still needs to be done in color coded. Green means OK, and yellow requires attention.
    • Bigger and clearer project creation button
    • New feature to delete multiple projects at once
  2. [New] Project Page:
    • Bigger and clearer floor creation button
    • New feature to edit the project information
    • Per project and per scan information summary with color coded. Green means OK, and yellow requires attention.
    • Help button
    • New feature to edit the floor order and name
    • New floor name presets: Ground Floor, First Floor, Second Floor, Attic and Other.
  3. [New] Floor Page:
    • Help button with three different categories: “Before scanning”, “During scanning”, and “After Scanning”
    • Cleaner visualisation with automatic scaling and “Reset View”. We move the buttons away so you can focus more on the 3D model.
    • More dense pointcloud for newer scans: 3 times denser than the previous version.
    • Single function “Capture Button”. The LiDAR and Panorama capture button is different now.
  4. [New] Scanning Instruction:
    • You will now receive more informative instruction on the best technique for scanning, either it is a new scan or a continuation from the previous scan.
  5. [Improved] Scan Annotation:
    • The scans are now group by their location automatically when scanning starts. The new location is automatically generated when relocalization failed and the user chooses to start a manual scan.
    • New gesture interactions:
      • Use 2 fingers to pan, rotate to scale the view during annotation. Now you can freely explore the scan without going back and forward to the view mode.
      • Double-tap to reset the view
      • If the scan is selected: 2-fingers pan or rotate will affect the selected scan instead.
    • Scan alignment is now able to make use of the location group information to align multiple scans directly.
    • When aligning using pointcloud, the selected scan/group will be visualized highlighted so you can easily spot the scan you want to interact with.
    • We added undo functionality to the editing mode. You can be at ease when doing editing now. Make mistake? Just press “Undo”.
    • Swipe-to-delete is now removed and instead, we added a bigger and clearer delete button at the bottom of the left panel.
  6. [Improved] Panorama Annotation:
    • The capture button now appears in editing mode.
    • New gesture interactions:
      • Use 2 fingers to pan, rotate to scale the view during annotation. Now you can freely explore the scan without going back and forward to the view mode.
      • Double-tap to reset the view
      • If the scan is selected: a 2-fingers pan will affect the selected pano instead.
    • The pano preview is 2x bigger with the option to replace the image after it is taken.
    • Just like the Scan Annotation, we also implement undo button for the Panorama. It remembers all of your actions whether adding a new pano, change the image, or even deleting the pano accidentally.
    • Swipe-to-delete is now removed and instead, we added a bigger and clearer delete button at the bottom of the left panel.
  7. [New and Improved] Laser Annotation:
    • Added 3 new annotation options: Horizontal Laser Note, Room Height Note, and Slope Note
    • The horizontal laser note will be the same as the previous laser annotation, but now it also shows the predicted distance from the LiDAR information. This is useful to see if you selecting the correct location or fill in an incorrect number.
    • Room Height Note is the detailed version of the previously named “Floor height”. We understand that one room can be very different in height from another. Therefore, the floor-height notes will not be accurate enough to use.
    • Slope Note is the new type for wall labeling. Some rooms may have a wall that is shorter than the others. Users can now use these notes to indicate the starting height and the slope of a wall.
    • New gesture interactions:
      • Use 2 fingers to pan, rotate to scale the view during annotation. Now you can freely explore the scan without going back and forward to the view mode.
      • If horizontal mode is selected, draw the line with one finger to annotate the distance
      • For room height and slope mode, tap the desired location to add the labeling.
      • Long tap to pick the point and move it with one finger to change its location.
      • Tap on the label to change the note information.
